The best setup is ubuntu + virtualbox. Ubuntu is free, you have openoffice or something else for the same tasks you do with ms office. If you need to run a windows app then you use virtualbox.
Feelme@alone, for me Linux is the best one. Modern Linux distributions allow you to simplify the installation, making it much easier and faster to install Windows. For example, setting ALT Linux Compact 2.3 on my computer takes about 20 minutes without any reboots. At the same time once established, not only drivers, but all applications.
I prefer Windows simply because it's less complex and I'm not that great dealing with OS software. But if you are tech savvy then linux would definitely be the way to go.
linux is open source operating system every body can design, but microsoft os's or different. for the server administration the linux is better
Depending on your work. If you are a personal computer user who has normal usage. Windows or even Mac is better. For server administrators, programmers, Linux is better both in performance and security.
Why Linux Your system is more stable. There are no viruses. There are no drivers. You can update everything with a single click. You can copy everything for free. You can use workspaces.
linux and windows are very good operating system. Linux generally used for servers.Windows are generally used for personal, a lot of software on the windows.
i would like to give my vote to windows.windows is the best ever operating system.windows is more friendly and more easy to handle.most of the computer user use windows operating system.
Yeah it depends. Windows is much more suitable for beginners with an easy interface etc. Linux is much more powerful but complicated to use/master
i have been using them both in my pc lately. i use windows 7 and ubuntu 12.04. well i like them both. but i prefer windows when it comes applications and compatibility
of course Windows is the best operating system than any other operating system so which most of the people using it.
Though Windows has a large user base, I prefer Linux. But sometimes, it becomes difficult as well if all of your connected people use windows and you are in different OS.
Plenty more apps for windows than Linux, but if you're a techie, Linux has more hands on functionality. Ever considered Mac?
