    Hi,

    I'm going to be getting a linux vps and will be using it for gaming servers, i looked around on google for the best OS for linux gaming, i saw some about a list here:

    OS:

    CentOS 5

    Ubuntu 9.1

    others:

    OpenVZ

    Xen

    If you have any ideas please post.

    This will depend on the control panel you choose to run on it. If you want to use cPanel Gaming Server, you can only use CentOS. If you dont need a control panel, you can choose any of them.

    OpenVZ and Xen are not OS, in fact they are virtualization technologies. OpenVZ is generally cheaper than Xen and more popular. Hope that helps.

    CentOS is the most commonly used OS and easy to manage as well. I would recommend CentOS whether OR not you would opt for a control panel. And yes, as said above OpenVZ and Xen are not OS, they are visualization technologies.
