I am using Windows server for my website. Now I am planning to shift host and the one I am interested in offers more services in Linux server then in Windows server at same price.

I wanted to know that will my website work in Linux server or I'll have to modify it. Its a html based website. Will URL remain the same or they'll be changed. And I am using Nucleus CMS blog for my website which requires MySQL database. Is it going to have any major problem moving from Windows server to Linux Server.

Sorry I don't have much knowledge about this. My website's URL is http://www.easydestination.net

You have taken a right decision. Your website will work on the Linux server also. MySQL is a part of linux server so you don't have to worry about it.

Just import the database into linux MySQL. In LINUX you will not be having
MySQL it is phpmyadmin. It is same as MySQL.

If you plan on using PHP pages with includes for example use a LINUX php enabled server whereas if you are using ASP.NET you would use a windows server. Personally i allways opt for the linux server,
    hope this helps.

Linux is a lot better, much much more secure and a lot more features.

Also, hosting wise linux is a 110% more popular than windows hosting.

    Is there any other?
URLs, and the internet as a whole, are based on Unix pathnames which is what Linux is based on.
mySQL was originally created in Unix.

Unix/Linux servers will always be far more flexible and cheaper than Windows servers.
