Linkworth - Is it "Worth"?

I went 6 pages into this section before starting this thread... ;)

I've been signed up with them since late last year. Two questions:

    1) Anybody earning any real money with them?
    2) Anybody see real value out of buying links from their service?

I've not seen any income so far for my PR5 site but I was pricing at the high end with incorrect lower PR data. The PR data they were showing was from a lower ranked non-www.domain address. My www.domain addy is higher by 2.

I have an interest in this for my own sites, but I'm also developing some new sites for clients who will want incoming links.

    Thanks!

    Hey Adam,

Thanks for the reply. May I ask where your pricing is relative to their suggestions for your site?

    Low
    Med
    High
    ???

Much appreciated. Oh, how long did it take for the revenue to start? Other than my own goof as listed above (which may have slowed my sales), it seems the months past so far should have produced some revenue.

    Thanks again!

    Craig

Not surprising that you're not getting any links. Try to price your links realistically - forget about what their pricing tool gives you. Would you really pay the suggested price for those links?

Look through the Link Sales forum here and you'll get a better idea of what some links are selling for.

Look through the inventory for the market you're in at LinkWorth. Notice that most of the sites with active links are priced below those without any.

Try lowering your price to attract a few sales.

    Good luck!

How do they work for you? Buyer of links or seller?

Thanks for the clarification. Not sure about the cheap links - perhaps Linkworth is not the right venue for me.

I buy some links there. They don't deliver traffic, many of the sites have PR, but very little traffic associated with it - unfortunately.

I have a couple deals set up - one is for links on my home page (I allow up to 5 total links there, something like $45 per month or so with small description) Once I get one more, I will move to another page.

I also have one set up for site wide links on my forum. Havent gotten anything from that.

    good-morning aeronautic.net,

interesting topic as at this moment i'm making alittle over $40 per month... right now hosting 3 linkworth links...

Note: have a PR6 black poetry site... could be making more, but i just can't place links on my subpages... ( homepage link only... )

    have a nice day...

    sincerely,
    c.t.adams-///

Hello and my thanks to SportsOutlaw, lorien1973 and c.t.adams,

From the feedback so far it looks like the money from selling links is much like finding a way to monetize "default" ad inventory from the big ad networks - do it, but don't hold your breath. ;)

As to the value of buying links, it sounds to me like the intent and benefit is buying potential PR, with traffic hopes low and perhaps an early SE 'bot spider thrown in.

I wonder if it makes more sense to spend more labor, and less cash, at recip linking and directory additions - both for my own sites and those I build for clients, instead of the likes of Linkworth?

Thanks again to all for taking the time to contribute.

Anyone using linkworth as an advertiser? I received some spam, err, e-mail from them today and figured I would check here first to see what people who have bought links from them think of the service.

A couple things jumped out at me right away. The first was:

    Are they really the biggest?

The second was the fact that the person e-mailing me, while doing a decent job of making the e-mail look "personal", forgot to change the intro to my companies name. Apparantly they e-mailed "Alarm Promotion" right before me:)

    Thanks

    GuyFromChicago -

Sorry to hear that you got spammed.

I'm not much of a hall monitor but I'd let Linkworth corporate know about it.

If really spam, it is a violation of their TOS.

The mail you got no doubt had an affiliate link code somewhere in it.

I can't vouch for their size, but I can sell you some links on my sites!

Just about medium. I experimented with increasing the price and still get sales. ;)
