In my continuing efforts to make a few euro from my site, I was looking at the possibility of signing up with Linkworth to carry some of their billboard ads. Basically they work like this: 1. Publisher carries link to particular page hosted by Linkworth; 2. Page in question contains content describing advertiser's products/services, and includes natural links to advertiser's site; 3. Advertiser's site benefits from having natural links on Linkworth content page. 4. Publisher gets paid fixed amount for carrying link to Linkworth content page. Is something like this acceptable under Co-op TOS? Technically, it's not an link network because the link doesn't go directly to the advertiser's site. And because it's not hosted on the publisher's domain, it won't be included in the Co-op weight calculation. I figured it would be better to check before jumping in.
I think since the billboard page will be indexed by search engines as : yourdomain.com/advertiserskeyword.ext In this case, it is a page hosted on your servers, regardless of the fact that the content is actually coming from linkworth servers, on the serverside. If you have coop on this webiste, u will have to have coop added on this page as well, else your website would not validate, because it's part of your website. Let me know if you still have questions, or need help setting up coop on billboard pages. I have done that, it's easy.
