LinkStrategy - Dirty con artists?

So, I awake to find another 20+ link requests from a Mr Dirk Johnson of LinkStrategy.com. These link requests are possibly the most irritating I've ever come across, the same old self-generated e-mail, asking for a link to their clients site. So, you link to the site, submit your details, and a link either appears for a couple of weeks then is removed, or your link never appears. Are these the dirtiest tactics you've ever seen - asking for link exchanges, reciprocating, then removing the link in the hope that you'll forget? I expect this is why many of their clients which we have supposedly exchanged links with previously are PR4, as they have quite a few hundred, into the thounsand links to their site with very few, if any, links going outwards. What ever happened to good, honest link exchanges?

    Dirk Johnson from LinkStrategy here:

SPiderMan - sorry that you are not satsified with us. We will never solicit you for a link again.

We've been doing this for ten years, and we have managed hundreds of successful campaigns during that time. We also have developed thousands of reliable link partners who understand that a link request from us is a reliable one.

Anyone who knows me knows full well that we do this work in a 100% above board manner. We reject any methods that try to hide links. We honor unsubscribes diligently. we use forms if they are provided. We stay relevant. We refuse to manage three-way link campaigns.

I could go on and on. Anyone who wants to know our complete quality policy, please contact me. I will lay it out. It is extensive.

Reciprocation is most successful when it is done 100% above board. Gaming the process only leads to lost links and other detrimental outcomes. If you treat link partners poorly, you aren't in this business for very long.

In fact, we have developed one of the most respected names among site owners that reciprocate actively.

Occasionally, probelms occur in this work. When we are given an opportunity to sort them out, we do. Spiderman, had you contacted me directly, instead of coming into this board and slamming me, we could have possibly sorted it out, whatever the problem, or we could have decided to part ways amicably and with consideration. I've done that many times in the past. Sometimes, the process just doesn't work for both sides. So it goes. You deal with it privately and move on.

I stand behind our policies and methods that I have used succesfully in the reciprocation realm for ten years.

To be perfectly fair I have e-mailed you countless times directly replying to the link submissions. And frankly if you have a problem with me having to bring this publicly so that you do notice - you may find the BST forum quite useful. Lots of skilled web developers who can create a great design for your site - including a contact form. Of course, DP doesn't offer customer service skills.
