I give up as i am not rocket scientist and those who have plenty of time figuring out how to submit will submit to your site.

And whats with : The email address for Featured and Regular Listings must be from the same domain as their website

Geez who in today's world uses domain based emails when there are lots of free email ids.

Any ways good luck and i hope you find some rocket scientists (who have time also) to submit.

Thats to keep spammers out.

The directory updates itself. Not really feasible to check each and every listing and approve it. So everything is approved initially. Listings not meeting the guidelines or needing fixing are handled later on.

A degree in computer science does do wonders.

Premium listings don't require you to have an email from the same domain.

You can try that also.

Well,

Any spam that is there gets correctly within a click of a backend button. I'm just filling the directory with listings right now. This is my first directory.

Btw, u might also read on the part on intelligent indexing. Sounds high tech doesn't it. Listings are displayed in the directory in the order received. PERMANENTLY, so it might be worth ur while to submit your site now. Two years later when linkspub ranks in the top 1000 sites, you may think that it was a good idea that u submitted ur site back then.

Im not planning on changing my submit site process anytime soon. But I will definately enhance it.

One upcoming enhancement I can tell is, when u click the 'list your site here' link next to the listing, the submit site page will open up already knowing where u want to submit ur site. So u wont have to scroll that big list.

Alot of people have commented that Linkspub is one of the best directories they have seen out there. And honestly lol, I am not lying. Believe me or not. But I literally have gotten such comments.

O well, i can try but u can't satisfy everyone I guess.

 

I think now ur just trying too hard, i have not seen anyone post like "oh i mine is the best directory and so many people said so and bla bla"

Anyways good luck mate no need to satisfy few from dp. Its not worth your time go and do some more technological changes to it so more and more rocket scientists find it interesting and instead of building rockets start submitting their sites there.

I need some suggestions if possible.

Does goingbusiness.com sound like a better name than linkspub.com. There both mine and I thouhgt that I will just have 2 directories, but i'm just sticking with 1.

I don't know if it is a good idea to change names now since the directory isn't really that old or maybe do something different with goingbusiness later on.

I'm just debating cause we will have to make the graphics again and I'm really busy right now.

Imagine this. U submit to my directory now. And 2 years later when it is in the top 10 sites on the internet you could literally sell your domain for $1 million. Cause its going to have so much traffic.

so think of it as a WISE investment.
