linkshare + search engine marketing

    how can I use linkshare with adwords or a similar program, doing search engine marketing? When generating the code it has that img with it, does it require that img or can you just use the link aside from it? Any help would be great please, thanks.

    I always remove that 1 x 1 gif file but still it works for me.
