Linkshare Linking Questions

I just started with Linkshare and I had a few questions that I was hoping someone with more experience could answer.

When getting the text links code, it says that the code must be used EXACTLY as it appears. So...

Does this mean that I would get in trouble if I used a url-shortening program to cloak the affil links?

Also, how strict are they with the impression pixel? It seems that if they are really strict on these issues, that really limits the ways to market their offers.

    Thanks for any help.

I don't use the impression pixel and never have. I have had no problems. The impression pixel and tracks your impressions which I don't think is always needed.

OK thanks. And this was in Linkshare? I don't use the impression pixel in any other programs. I was just concerned about Linkshare because they specifically say to use the code exactly like they have it.

Not sure about anyone else, but I was just using the link and put it in a HTML redirection page. Here's the deal:

Had some programs at CPA Storm, was getting about 1 conversion per 20 clicks or so.

    Went to Linkshare:
1 conversion in 100+ clicks for one program
0 in 50 clicks for another
    0 in 40 clicks for a third.

Now this is after they click through to the product's landing page. Could I being doing something wrong?
