LinkShare fiasco

Anyone else following the fiasco over at LinkShare? What basically is happening is that LinkShare have rolled out new changes to their system that is clearly still in beta. Existing affiliates cannot get validated, legal entity names cannot be changed, and worst of all affiliates are not getting paid or if they have are not getting complete amounts and are missing payments for March.

    It's an absolute mess!

Yep... I'm owed over $25k in back payments from them as it is. I've never liked them much, but now I like them even less. I ended up dropping all affiliate programs managed through LinkShare except for one (and the one I still do because I don't care if I get paid... makes like $1 per month).

Commission Junction is *such* a better platform it's crazy.

Jeez $25K ... that's a whole lot of dough. I can't say I'm owed that much but I hope they get it sorted pretty soon.

Linkshare sucks. I refuse to use them any more.

What was the name of the Affiliate that got the prize last year(?) for the most referrals and it turned out they were a cookie-cutter?

Another affilate program that is stuffed at present is NCSreporting, they are about three months behind in payouts and I believe they are having problems with their reporting software. I use NCS and another company for some of the same products and the other companies applications and commissions are coming through as normal.

It wouldn't be as big a problem if I hadn't been using adwords to promote their products.

Im in the same boat Shawn, waiting on somewhere between 20-30k - They haven't sent a check out since March, and never notify anyone of anything.

I strongly suggest cj.com over them if you can find suitable programs there instead.

I forget how powerful this forum is sometimes (hehe), because I just got a check from LinkShare today for $9,190.70 (March).

Nice one Shawn, did you receive the full commission you were owed for March? Many report that they did not.

I'm reaching boiling point with LinkShare...

seo-ireland, I've been signing up at a lot of affiliate places lately and I am all new to this, so would you recommend that I don't sign up with LinkShare? Is it not worth it?

Well I still wouldn't advise against it but definitely don't expect it to be smooth sailing all the way with LinkShare. Their affiliate support is very bad at present, in fact I get all my support at the LnkShare forum at ABestWeb.

I believe that many of the wrinkles will be ironed out in time but it is hard to say how long this happens.

Glad I dumped Linkshare several months ago so I don't have to deal with these horrible situations. While Commission Junction has it's flaws it's still a much better network. Between CJ and ShareASale I don't miss LS one bit.

I never use Linkshare. Only managed one client there for a short time and didn't like the interface, thought maybe just because I'm so used to CJ.

Sorry you guys have had to go through this rollercoaster ride with them. Must be very frustrating! Congrats Shawn on getting at least part of what they owe you. I'm sure everyone will get paid once they sort through everything.

And don't forget they lost CitiBank, which was a big converter for me.

Now that's strange, I mentioned in my post that they had lost Citibank but it's not in there anymore :( .

Soxfan, I assume that you are also having problems with receiving commissions from NCS.
I'm looking around to see who else promotes Citibank, like you I found they were very popular cards.

Yes, and I am pretty sure that the reporting is off as well, like you said.

Within about an hour of NCS sending me there "We don't do Citibank anymore" email, I received and mail from cardoffers.com. I have swtiched over to them, hopefully they are a little better.

When I signed up with linkshare some time ago, the site wouldn't work on firefox, and was a pain to navigate, all that make me ignore it and concentrate on others. I'm finally started to make some bucks with affiliates.

I'm a bit peeved with them as well for owing me a few thousand dollars for March and April and not replying to the inquiries I've sent them. I'm working on moving all but 1 site away from them as we speak!
