Links without anchor text

Do links to your site not containing any anchor text still pass link juice? I couldn't see why not, it just wouldn't be as good as if it did have keyword anchor text right?

 

A dofollow link counts whether or not it has proper anchor text -- just not as much, unless you're trying to rank for phrases like "Click here for more info."

First of all the text which content link is called anchor text.If you give link behind http://www.example.com then http://www.example.com is an anchor text.
example: <a href="http://www.example.com"> http://www.example.com</a>.
Using keyword in your anchor text for do follow site (do follow site pass their link reputation) is beneficial for your site as well as for your keyword(s).

What makes you think that it is useless?? A link is always a link, it increases the power of the website as a whole..

 

he is talking about link juice and it's worth if you have any competitive anchor on it otherwise it will not going to create identity on major search engines. What do you mean by power for hole website..? can you please elaborate that word..? lol i need supper power for ma website get rank.

Use anchor link for link building. However link is equal to link either goes to anchor or URL.

links without anchor text on High Pr authority sites definitely give you impact..i always use twitter, identia, friendfeed,hiya for linkbuilding.

 

it will pass PR juice if it's do follow .. and if your domain is a keyword rich domain it will help ranking as well ..

I think it does not help so much as anchor text can do..

 

I think text links have more authority over other dofollow links and influence your rank in the search result.Afterall SERP is the most important facet of SEO
