Links within site

There is nothing wrong with optimizing and promoting an inner page of your web site. But most people concentrate on their home page initially.

Why isn't that keyword on your home page? If it isn't on your home page them maybe it isn't the best phrase for your site. Doesn't your home page tell what your site is about? And can it do that without using your prime keyword phrase?

I thought we already established that the phrase was in your home page title?

 

Yes, the Keyword Phrase "Business Finance" is in the Home Page Title, and also prominently mentioned with the body text, in ALT tags, etc.

I was just thinking that by concentrating on an optimised page called business-finance.htm, and getting lots of links with anchor text "business finance", that I would add just that extra little bit.

Do you think that I'd be better just concentrating on getting links with anchor text "business finance" directed at "index.htm"?

 

Sometimes people over think these things. Having your keywords in a file name has a very minor value at best. I don't know anybody who would purposely divert attention from their home page simply to try and exploit this minor attribute.

Use this for your backlinks:

A. <a href="http://www.equusbusinessfinance.co.uk">Business Finance</a>

If you are having internal links, its good for the site..

 

If you can link to all your pages in the index or a site map that would help the search engines organise it

I have a question. Is there any limit in the number of pages to be included in a single sitemap file Or the size of the sitemap file ?
