Ok, here's a basic SEO question that continues to elude me.

Would a keyword be more or less effective if it was hyperlinked with the punctuation with in it?

    Examples:

    <a href="http://example.com>Keyword!</a>
    OR
    <a href="http://example.com>Keyword?</a>

    Code (markup):
My experience says there really isn't much of a difference. But the optimizer in me wants to question.

A keyword would not be more effective with punctuation. The engines simply ignore punctuation.
