I assume you are using phpLD. If so, when I manually add sites myself they are usually designated as "none" rather than normal, featured of free.

hrmmm, when you add then via admin they should be taking the value of 0 (zero)

Not sure what the "0" value corresponds to, but when I view the "links" in the admin and see the listing of all my listings, I have "none" (which at a quick glance appears to be all the stuff I added via admin), "normal" (regular paid links), "featured", and "free" (with nofollow attribute).

In my admin I see the "none" type, and I certainly didn't add them. I assumed they were auto-submitted.

ahh you know me.. i always speaking from way too damn deep in the code :p

After re-reading you, i believe you are in the 'admin panel'. hehe I was refering to the database values. bloops!

so yes. to clarify everything and when adding websites in from the admin panel your values both in DB and admin will correspond as:

the Database LINK_TYPE will be 0 (zero)
the Type displayed in the admin will be None

    sorry if there was confusion.

You may be right about that. I did notice one pending link submitted as "none" rather than "normal" or "featured." And I know I didn't add it. Why would I manually add a site and set it to pending?

Ok, so to further expand on the subject since everything has been clarified on what is what and where, and to address what you're talking about now...

This is one of two types of submissions I have been seeing lately. It was addressed today, because boby was back around and 3.1 beta 2 was released, so I had a chance to get a hold of him. After a few questions were answered etc etc There was extra additions implemented to render these types of submissions obsolete.

It's not that they were all getting through, but its people making these faulty templates and not keeping everything intact that help things like this along. So I suggested that another layer/level of execution be put into place to help compensate for the absent minded template makers rushing their works and not keeping to a standardization by doing things right.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I didn't notice that when I approved them before, I have already approved them.

What shall I do? Delete them or inactive them?

    I would:

    1. find the IP and ban it.
    2. delete the listing
