links to your files

    Hi;

    I have simple question about google backlinks.

    will a link to your files be counted as backlinks?

    for example
    site 1 is linking to yoursite.com/file.zip or yoursite.com/image.jpg .

    will it be counted as backlinks?

    Not sure but if you see such links in google webmaster tools under "Pages with external links", then I guess they are back links.

    No, only web pages that render HTML will be displayed or considered a backlink.
