Hi, I looked up the pages indexed by Google for one site and found that some pages were in their regular results, while the rest showed up as "supplemental". The home page showed up in the regular result. Each of the pages lists a different service. In the past, I had been creating external links with descriptive anchor texts pointing to individual pages, such as, anchor text "service 1" to www.mysite.com/service-1.htm. Say, if service-1.htm is in Google's supplemental result, should I keep pointing external links to that service-1 page or the home page? I noticed that when I searched for service listed on "supplemental" pages, Google returned the home page instead in its results. Is there a way to migrate those "supplemental" pages into regular-indexed pages? Thanks in advance! Terry
Hello Terry. Don't assume this problem is with your web site just yet. There are some issue with Google right now since they migrated to "BigDaddy". I see stuff changing on an hour by hour basis right now, so you might not have a problem at all. I think the best course is just to wait this whole thing out and not rush to make changes that may or may not work in long run.
