Links to Unrelated Sites

I have some blogs. Each of these blogs are based on a single theme. All of the messages in the blog are related to the blog theme.

Does anyone see a problem if the blog messages contain links to other websites that are not related to the theme of my blog website?

 

What you have with that outbound link ?
Why you link to unrelated site ?

It is the best to link trusted related sites.

 

These other sites I was considering linking to are some of my other sites.

 

I would not advice to link other yours sites.
This could look like controling rankings.

 

For best results don't link to unrelated sites.

 

If you are running like a blog network, then you probably can get away with linking to your own sites, but the links are going to be more valuable as providing visibility to your other sites than boosing your rankings.

 

Why is this? Would this be because they would have similiar IP addresses?

I have two dedicated servers. My blogs are on ip address 209.59.131.xxxx while my hosting accounts are on ip address 209.59.101.xxxx
