Links to my URL

I've recently released my website http://www.interprise-llc.com and because I am new to this, there are a few basic things that I didn't realize that I had to do. Probably the most important was to list my URL with the major search engines. Which I've done, and I'm slowly finding that the site is showing up. But something that I'm struggling with a bit is to have links to my site on other sites. I have heard that google and others discount a sites credibility if the links are located on unrelated sites, which may hurt the ranking. Does anyone have some input on this?

And if you have any tips for my site, I'd appreciate it.

Hi usslobeh, Welcome to the forum.

First is you don't need to register your site with the search engines. They follow a link like your sig link and will automaticly enter you into there index.

2nd thing is relevent links are a must. Links from sites such as FFA(Free for All) will hurt you. Google is cracking down on stuff like that.

My suggestion is to work on a link building campaign to help raise your rankings in Google. May take a while before you do rank however.

Another way to aquire links to your sites and get it spidered by the SE's, is the Coop Ad Network. You can also email other webmasters and see if they'd being willing to exchange links with you. Good luck with your site! :D

Also you need to look at your titles, meta tags and a robots.txt file.

Each page should have a title relevant to that page and meta's to match, use H1 text, and more content on the home page, very few words at the moment.

    Here is your 1st link:
    http://www.interprise-llc.com

This should help the bots to find your site!
