Hi all I guess this is the norm when starting a dir, you get submissions by sex sites etc. I am not putting porn on my site, but what about sites that are for adults, but not porn ie sex toys or adult chat and singles are these a "Bad neighborhood"? Your knowledge and advice is appreciated!
It depends what you want really. For a child friendly dir then no. I don't accept links like that for www.directory-king.com but I do on www.shoutlinks.com Make sure if it is paid you don't accept them at first then stop accepting them because you will have to remove and refund all of them.
Thanks Calum, I decided to not put anything displaying porn in my listings, however have added a dating site, as it ties in with the whole club/entertainment and lifestyle niche I am heading for. I dont plan on adding too many of those quality yet "questionable" sites to my dir. Reps buddy!
Are you a family friendly directory? Would your viewers want to see such sites when browsing the directory?
If you dont promote as family friendly, and know your submitters and visitors dont mind then its not so bad, you would maybe have to stop using adsense depending on the links, im not sure.
I've discovered that nearly every adult site will in some way end up linking to pornographic material which in turn leads to worse porn, which in turn leads to even worse. As pipes said, if you don't declare your a family safe directory then you have no concern, if you do then you need to stay a mile away from anything like this. Take a look in his sig links, not sure its his site http://www.esubmitlinks.com/ You'll see a banner to person.com, it's a site where people can put up saucy photos. Can the be viewed as porn for example? Or is it a innocent bit of fun? Dig deeper and go to the forum, you'll see exactly what I mean.
