I am in the process of gaining backlinks to my forum (phpbb3). I'm a bit confused as to where the links should be put ie on a website the links are usually on a links page or inbedded on the index page. On a forum its a bit different On a forum are link redirects seen on the mainpage of the forum seen to be good by google? Or would building a separate page with a link from my forum listing all of my backlinks? I a bit as to whether google penalises you for not having the links on your index page I am a newb to this so please don't be to harsh with your reply
Well......creating a seperate page for links on forum is not good better you can have links at sidebar or at footer if you are looking for link exchange......also you can offer a three way link exchange...
