Can someone check if this is correct? Backlink or inbound link is a link on other website pointing toward my site. If there is no link on my site which points back to that site this is one way link, but if it points back it is two way link or reciprocial link. Outgoing or outbound link is each link on my site pointing to other sites. Sitewide link is a link on all pages of a site. I guess a link on a blog is also usually sitewide link. What exactly is three way link? What is deep link? I know what's permanent link. Is this the same as permalink (seen on forums)? Is anchor text only that text which is embeded into URL? So the text beside the URL is not anchor?
Three way is when Site A links to Site B and Site C links to Site A. This way is doesnt look reciprocal. Deep link is when you link deep into your site such as www.site.com/foods/burgers/cheese/bacon Permalink is related to blogs. The permanent link to exact URL of the post The text next to the anchor link is not the anchor, its just text. The words in your sig link "Programming Forums" IS the anchor text.
A sitewide link implies that it's the exact same link on all pages of the site. Blogs are the one place where they would probably NOT get you a penalty from google.
No. signature links aren't on ALL pages of this site. They are on those forum pages we contribute to. Big difference. Anyhow - the main discriminator is whether it looks 'natural' to google. What would a person do who knows nothing about SEO? Anything that type of person might do, is safe.
three way links looks just like a one way link for example you have sites A and B...you want to link your site A to site C but you'll put site C on your site B and it'll not look like that of you exchange links...
