No I didn't. I just registered .me domain with godaddy (it was a sale so only paid $9.99 for it and even used a 10% discount code!) and then changed nameservers. That's all. Fast and easy. Thank you all for the comments.
Nice design and its great you kept it simple. The twitter at the bottom was a nice touch. Good luck with this.
