I have a website with over 300 pages and I obviously need each page to rank high for its keywords. My question is: I’ve found manual link exchange to be a very tedious and ineffective process. Over 98% of the people either don’t respond or don’t want to exchange links with a competitor. I’m trying to get related links only. What would my best option be to get links to all of my pages as fast as possible? Maybe a link exchange service or Co-Op? Any ideas? Thanks
Check out www.linkmarket.net [not aff] You can select sites you want to exchange links with. If they want to, you simply copy and paste some html.
The co-op works well in yahoo and msn. Buying links is quick but can get quite expensive. In a large site like yours, you may want to pay some extra attention to internal anchor text as that can be quite helpful too.
I agree onlinedude with the internal linking. I use that on every article I write, linking to at least 4 other pages if not more. As far as link exchanging goes, take my site for instance, I offer auto, home, health, and life insurance quotes. I will look at placing links to my health insurance pages on health related sites. For home insurance I will look at real estate, mortgages, landscapers, etc. Look at your site and your keyword phrases, then goto the main term in the phrase and determine what kind of cross promoting you can do. I get a lot of links this way. You can make the link relevent to a lot of non competing sites with the proper anchor text. I also am not afraid to ask webmasters for multiple links on their sites with various anchor text. Of course I offer them the same in return.
