Is it better to have links point to the root of the folder or to default.aspx or does it make any difference? i.e. are links pointing to www.ibm.com/default.aspx carrying the same value as pointing to www.ibm.com ? Also does it cause an SEO issue if there are two seperate versions of the homepage (default.aspx and root) ?
Hi, well if we thing of google, I guess its searchbot is intelligent enough to figure out that a url with root/default.aspx also have a root just called root/ so I guess it doesn't matter. to the second question, well, if you just type the root url what default page does it redirect to? thats the one it will "crawl".
