links page not to show on website

Can we make links page like sitename.com/links.html but do not give links.html link on any page ? is it ok ?

Im not sure why you would want to do this. What would be the point of having a links page that was completely orphaned and had no link to it from the rest of the site?

Of course, you could do this, but I would hope that you wouldnt be trying to use this page for link exchanges or link sales as that would be VERY unethical and crooked.

 

i don't want it to be linked from any page, just i would be exchanging links and using this page to show my link partners.

Is this really not good to use this type for link partners page ? or what iam doing is the right one.
Just i want to be sure of what i said in starting, is it ok to do this ?or there can be some harm or negative effects.

 

It means if you do this, Google won't index the page nor will it receive Pagerank. So realistically you are defrauding people who you exchange links with.

 

I don't think the people you exchange links with will be very happy if the page their link is on is getting no visitors or ranking.

Linking to the page only from your home page would be acceptable I am sure.
