Links out to the big guys

    Is it beneficial to put a link on your site to the biggies like google, yahoo, msn, youtube and a bunch of the free upload sites like rapidshare etc, i just noticed a directory that has done that but is there any real use and benefit from doing that?

    Are the links relevant to the subject of your site? Does the addition of the links improve your keyword density? If not, then there's no point.

    How exactly do you "improve" keyword density? And what is "the right" keyword density anyway?
