Links on a page question

Soon I will be doing a celeb pic site, I wanted to just have a simple page with all the celeb names on the main page for easy navigation but then thought about how many links there would be and Google won't like that, how would you set it out? Have it so it's alphabetically like [A - H] etc?

 

Make it look good for your visitors and google will be fine. Don't include hundreds of links on one page.

less is more. But make links relevant to content. Too many links relative to content is a problem.

 

The links will be of course relevant as they will all be the celeb links that go to the picture content page, but I wanted to put them all on the main page so it was easy navigation for the visitors but thought Google might not like that.

So I could make it look good by having easy navigation on the main page but Google won't be fine with that as it will be too many links

 

This makes no sense. If the page looks good for your humans then google will be fine with it.

 

It does make sense as by making it look good and easy for my visitors how I want it to be will mean over 100 links on the main page, hence why Google won't be fine with it.

 

Is 100 links on a page easy for your visitors?

 

For this site, yes.

 

if you are doing 100 name per site, i would use bold for name for the most popular celeb(Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, etc etc)

According to google, you can put less than 200 links on any page. But if you put this amount of links on your home page, then your page won't look good. If you think its'll look good you can do so.

I really would like to list all the celebs on the main page in the content area in a easy navigational way so people have all the celebs on the main page without having to click through anything but as I say am worried about a negative effect with Google.

Thats not my site, thats just an example as to how I would like the links presented on my site, as an 'index' of sorts but as I said am worried about putting so many links on one page.

 

make the nav drill down. this will also add more content pages to your site.

 

But then the SE's won't index the pages easily?

 

What do you mean by that?

 

If 80% of your page is links and 20% is content then you have a problem.
