LINKS on a page Pointing the SAME page

    I have LINKS on a page Pointing the SAME page itself. Does this cause the robot to go in a loop forever.

    Page1 has "Link". "Link" points to Page1. Could this be a problem

    I couldnt see it being a problem as your sidebar or footer could also contain a link to the same page. A better example would be a page that has the 'Top of Page' link which is just linking its own page, if that makes sense?
