Links of 150 blogs indexed?

Regarding the services that some offer whereby the seller places an article with 3-5 links on let's say 100 blogs. I have wondered whether these types of article postings get indexed by Google because of duplicate content. It would seem that the same article on 100 blogs would not get indexed, therefore the links would not get indexed. Is this true? I'd be curious as to what others think.

Some of the articles that I wrote and submitted to ezinearticles were taken by some bloggers and were pasted on their blogs.

The link in the author's resource box was there and it saw that google was accounting that links when I searched for the backlinks for that site of mine.

From this experience it can be said that yes the links are getting indexed. But maybe that page itself might be a supplemental one.

I also search for my articles and it has supplemental result. But I think search engine know the owner of the article.

But I also see on my search that someone copy my article but not added my links. Some content was edited but most of the contents are totally mine.

All the articles if at all they get indexed counts and its up to google to show which one to show as back-link and which one to not count.

I have many of my articles included in many blogs and some of them do show up in my back-links. But I notice majority can only be seen when searched for "www.domain.com" in google. :p

Then this is the case of content theft.
