My site has back links from 30+ NBC TV stations but they do not show up on Google. The results seem to change by a large amount when you search for the site on Google but it has steady growth on yahoo. This is my first site and I am very green can anyone give me some pointers on how to get a steady increase of traffic from Google. The site is for teens and preteens and is an original idea. We have been up and running for just over a year. We have had some growth but it is very up and down. We have increased our back links and our pr is not increasing. We are stumped about what key words will bring more traffic and increase our page rank.People just are not searching for what we offer. The basic idea is an auction site for teens and preteens where kids spend pucks to buy and get pucks for the things that they sell. There is a one time membership fee of $25.00 and members receive 50 pucks to spend. A puck is worth to 1 dollar of spending power on the site. You can also get a free account but receive no pucks. You must sell items to get your pucks. We charge no listing fees and no charge for pictures. We have monthly contest for the best member that we feel manages their account the best. We have put parental control features in place so parents can track what their children are buying and selling. We also check the site for non approved items. We feel the idea is sound but we need a little help on how to promote it. Thanks for your help.
