Links in signiture any good?

When i check my back link popularity it shows many of my posts here with my link. Is that good or bad because my site has nothing to do with webmastery?

 

Its fine. If your a webmaster, then who cares. I could be a webmaster about a site to do with childrens toys, but becuase im a webmaster, having more links doesnt upset me!

 

well it depends,

1- you giving traffic to DP and that's not a bad thing
2- Unless they find your sig and click on it, than in that sense its bad

 

The links are nothing to worry about. They won't do your site as much good as they would if your site did have something to do with webmaster/design/adsense or something - but the links will not hurt your site. Do use reasonable keywords in the links. That way your site will be associated with those keywords more.

if it doens;t do you any good, its not bad at least. i have seen few people using sig link for their sites not related to webmaster or anything here on DP but getting ranked high with the keyword in G. i'm not saying the high ranking was due to having a sig link on DP, but saying that it didn;t harm at least if it didn;t do any good. so why not just use the sig link anyways! at least few people might get interested and click on your sig?

 

Link in signature are good for branding, but as far as link value goes they give hardly anything.

 

I think links in signature to related forums can also be helpful with improving SERP.
