Hi, I have a parked domain and with the last update it got PR 4. I went on discovery and found that two PDF files hosted on a .edu domain were pointing to my domain (there was a link in the pdf file to my domain). So, if you ever wondered. Links in PDF files pass SEO juice. Just wanted to share
Google can index the content of most types of pages and files. The most common file types Google index can be found at http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35287
The domain is : contrast (((.))) in I didn't use any tool. I saw it got PR 4, so I used the yahoo site explorer to see if there were any backlinks, and there showed up two backlinks from two PDF files. Have a look for yourself
I used a similar tactic to get my PDFs with the keywords indexed for a unique backlink on .gov sites.
