Can anyone explain why when i search for "links:example.com" I only get a fraction of the number of sites that are returned when I search "sites that contain" the term example.com even though most of these are backlinks?

    Thanks

the link command is not updated as often as the site.

Nobody really knows how G determines which links to show in the link: command.

It is clearly not updated as much as the actual index but there is a bit more to it I think.

Use Yahoo or MSN to get your real links.
