Do links in the comment area of blogs with high PR help a site develop bank links? I usually comment using my real name without a link to my site, but I'm thinking I should probably use my site URL. Thoughts?

    Most of them are nofollow.

Yes, it probably works (if it isn't nofollow), if you mange to get away using keywords as your name.

Also it would be helpful if you would put comments on sites with high PR.
On the other hand it is quite silly because you would have to wait for about 4 months to see if this selected page will get high PR.

Anyway the best solution is to post comments as the first person, not 344 person, because chances of clicking your link deacrease expotential.
