I'm interested to know if anyone knows approx. how many links for each pr? I know it depends on several things such as content ect. But if you have a general Idea if the number of links in to your site will help with Googles page rank.

    Thanks

It takes one link for PR0. But it also might take one link for PR5. Research the pagerank algorithm, it is described / commented on many places over the web and on this forum.

Generally speaking PR is dependent to both quality and quantity of links. If you get a single link from a PR7 page, your site could have a PR7 or a PR6, depending upon the number of outgoing links on that page. On the other hand if your site has 100's of PR1 or PR2 links it still could not make a PR4.

So it largely depend on the quality of links.

If you want to learn more about pagerank you can give the following site a try
