I have read on other forums that links from the same IP address is counted only as 1 in link Google... IF this is true, links from forum sig are only counted as 1 link..

yes its true. If your all link from one ip address website then its not give that much of benefit which you get from different ip's website.
It's a matter of balance. In the grand scheme of things, a few links from the same IP range in your backlink profile will all count as separate links. If they were to become the majority however - that could be a problem.
Google strategic is different. forums links may count many or not. it is depend link value. Yahoo count all links but Google count one or two or three, everything depend on link value.
its not true... dp links are not counted as one that u mus be talking about complete dedicated servers...
same Ip links are perfectly alright if they are done with good nature. Anything that's trying too hard, excessively will just raise a red flag
I think there is a certain limit that googles counts those links. If google counts all the links, then someone would have created like 1,000 blogspots to out rank many sites in a niche.
