Links from the same domain

    I have always been under the impression that links from the same domain are very much devalued or discounted. Recently a couple of people have pulled me up on this and stated that is wasn't the case. What are your views on this?

    If this is not the case I have a couple of unused sites with PR, what's to stop me putting up a couple of huge sites and then linking back to my sites from every page?

    yes. it will work. I have seen few sites who get back links from couple of huge sites and they rank well in that case.

    also internal inking works well if done properly

    If you're talking about heavy cross-linking sites on the same IP it is my understanding that this "might" be a problem. I'd be interested to hear what others who are in the know have to say.

    I'm not talking about crosslinking, in fact from a completely differant host. You think this may work? I'm a little dubious.
