Hello experts, I have a couple of sites which is host in the same IP address i.e. inside one host (It's a reseller account). I have placed links from one site to another. Somtimes it's a reciprocal link, sometimes it's not. My question is: Will that be considered spamming or Link farming? (I have less than 20 sites). Thank you very much for your inputs Toby
You won't get penalized for it, but, in my opinion, the links are not considered outside site links by Google.
I spent ages looking at this a few months ago. In my opinon, as long as it's not done en-masse, there will be no problems. They won't count as backlinks in Google but will in MSN. Just an opinon.
I raise a question at this point . People at Reseller or shared Hosting account have Sharded IP aswell and WebHosting companies host alot of sites on the same IP address these links have some weight in the eyes of Goolge if this might be the reason then what about Blogger Blogs are all the Blogger User hosted on different IPs i am not sure about it may be Stacks of IPs to hold 500 or 1000 SubDomain of Blogs and having links of Blog still of a value. But Links from different IPs certainly of more value for Google.
