Hi! I am interesting if the links which published in PDF documents could be indexed by Google. Could PDF transfer PR and which of these docs, with graphic or text data, could transfer PR? May be you know the tools or some rules how to add links in PDF properly?
hmm, never thought of that, it is possible though since many documents created rather than scanned to PDF are pretty accurately read by an OCR.
While Google index PDF documents and they are one of the on-page SEO factors, I doubt it that you will get credit for links in those PDF files.
I'm pretty sure that a PDF file can't get PR. Unless it's in 'printer' format, which basically makes it like a standard webpage of text. If it's still in PDF form, the 'link juice' shouldn't carry. Just the same as if links from within a flash file wouldn't. Hope it helped. -Aidan.
I'm not sure, but I think link from a PDF file is mainly for traffic benefits only; not for backlink purposes.
It is highly improbable that links from a pdf file get PR boost. But who knows Google may change its rule one day.
I do not think that will count as backlinks. because google will store it as document and path but Do not think that it will scan the entire document to find a lik..
