Hello, I just noticed links-exchange.net website. It said, it will give 2700 backlinks to your site. I just bought 1 month to try. will it help or i wasted $9? Actually, it has a links page where all the links to all members' sites are placed and they want the links page to be put up at the main homepage for google to crawl into the links page. Is it spam and waste or it can work out?
Exchanging links can give your site a boost but only if the links are between sites of a similar nature. Linking to sites with unrelated content is not recommended.
The site has a Google PageRank of 2. That already puts a certain stamp on the service. Don't you think?
Yeah, I guess you just wasted 9 bucks. Link exchange definitely still works, but only if it looks natural to search engines. By natural I mean theme relevancy, varied anchor texts and descriptions and many more things. What they seem to be offering is a lousy Web ring where everybody links to everybody, no matter the relevance and other factors. I think it won't help you Google-wise. What's more, you DON'T wanna automatically link to ~3k of sites without first reviewing them. If some of them are spammy (of which I'm pretty sure), prepare to get penalized. Maybe not right now, but it's gonna happen with Google. And yeah, I almost forgot: Since BigDaddy is on the prowl, reciprocal linking with unrelated sites eventually results in your site getting banned from Google. Out of the index. The irony of the whole thing is you'll have paid for that when it happens, even if it's only 9 bucks Warkot PS: You might wanna give LinkAssistant a try, I'm using it with good results. Only try it if you're into serious link building, which involves your manual review of who you link to etc. It won't give you a magic "do-it-all" button, but it'll automate your link building to a great extent.
