links are kING or is content King?

I have heard so it seems both sids of the story. Is this just a matter of opinion or is this a good argument?

 

Good content will attract natural links.

 

I think links is the King and content the queen.

You need links to score in google, but you need content to score on the right keywords

without some decent content it is hard to attract the 'best' links. You can buy links all day long but I have seen sites get natural links from sites like The department of energy and forbes magazine online, etc...

Obviously, good content will also keep viewers on your site longer. More time for them to click on any Ad Sense or paid advertising you have placed there. Bottom line is $$ is king!

Both are good, they work together.
A combination of content as well as social networking, link networking, and gaining editorial visibility as well as viral and individual link solicitations will all work together.

 

IMHO, both are equally important.

Neglect one and work on one, and your site will fail.

 

Link is King. You can get even shittiest content rank with huge number of links. However even if you have excellent content, but it does not have any link, it won't rank anywhere.

 

Content is king. Good content will get you quality backlinks, if it is a blog with regular updation(10 posts a day) I doubt you will need any off-page SEO. On the other hand links won't give you content.

 

Links are king for ranking... You can pretty much have crap for content and still rank very well with enough inbound links from relevant sites with the targeted keyword phrase (or slight variations of that phrase) as the link text.

However, content is king for attracting links naturally from other web sites. No one wants to link to crappy content.

 

Content is King always if it's unique it will generate link automatically but if you are serious also do not forget to build up some back link beside unique content

 

As well, just make sure to keep the queen happy

 

I so agree. You see websites out there ranked quite high but the content is just not there. I think links and content compliment each other and over time that compliment can look pretty nice.

 

Backlinks w/anchor text are the most important part of getting ranked.

Both are good. they give your website boost, Thats it
