Linkring - will Google penitilize it?

    Hello

I own 30 sites that are in the same subject. What i plan to do on this sites is create a linkring.

This means that site 1 will link to site 2 - site 16. A total of 15 links on site 1.

Site 2 will then link to site 3 - site 17. And so on for every site.

This means that each site will have 15 incomming links (from my sites, a lot of other incomming links from other places also). No site will link to a site it recieved a link from.

    My questions are:

Is there a better way to spread the links?
Will google penitilize(how is that word spelled??) me for this?
Will this help raise my PR on the sites (Random PR on sites from PR0 to PR4)?

    Thanks for answers and ideas...

Do you mean to say you own 30 websites and you want to do network link exchange between these 30 sites ?
If so than i have almost 50-60 sites and i do the same but my sites has not been "PENALIZE" by google yet..
I think Mattcutts has spoken something about this in his videos that if you do same Class C Ip link exchnage for more ( not specific number of website) websites than you may get penalize

The main funda is " If they are on diffrent Class C Ip's it wont create any problem"

As far as I can see: You will have 15 links outbound from each site. Each site will link to its superior therefore site 16 will have no outgoing links.

I think that whatever PR you have will be stuck onto site 16.

However: remember that the SEs (Google specifiaclly) are trying to map the world. So you should link out from every site.
Imagine that this image: >o< represents the internet. The left hand side is pages that are the inward bound links. The right hand side is pages that are the outward bound links. The central part is the pages of the internet. These link in and out of the net. Therefore - it is better to link in and out. PR is simply the opposite of this.

Imagine that you have a leaky pipe at home, you need a plumber. You ask a friend and they give you a recommendation. You ask another and another and another. They all give you the same recommendation. So you go to this plumber. Similarly:
The pages for communities of like minded links. Pages A through D link to X. Pages E through H link to Z. X links to Z. Here you have pages all with a similar topic all linking to expert pages. Z is considered to be the expert (PR 7) and X is an also ran (PR 5) and the others are all interesting footnotes (PR 1-3). This is how SEs reliance on links was explained to me.

Your sites need to be designed with less a circular route and more a tree like structure.
