I was unable to check out linkmarket.net (got an error about restarting their servers), but I've used linkpartners.com. Although, the DigitalPoint Coop Ad Network blows doors on anything else I've used.
lilquit, add San Diego Surfing and I will get you back from http://www.firetown.com It is way more effective doing a 3-way than just straight up link exchange. Also do something like submit to http://www.wowdirectory.com and other directories with free one way links. In my eyes the days of just straight up link exchange are numbered. however the co-op thing will survive. I've just been too lazy to sign up yet.
The coop is good, but only for temporary linkage while you build a REAL link base. If you want linkage that isn't dependant on Googles take, network admins, and linkage that's persistant you need static recips. There's just no comparison between the two. Linkmarket isn't too bad, but then it isnt free either. I see prolly 10 or more requests per day, and they're limited to on-theme sites (requestors). As usual tho, the whole process remains tedious, with you the webmaster having to manually provide info for each link, so on yada yada. I would take it over linksmanager.com tho. I mean 18 US per year, vs 35 per month is a good thing, and the only difference between them is that linksmanager builds and allows upload of your pages etc. Both still force end users to endure the usual tedium - annoying actually, given todays technology they could expedite the process easily, make the process less time consuming and more productive. Someone will one of these days..
you can use linkmarkert limited for free enough to trade links aahh im not tech enough to put the co-op network into my site thanks for info and advice everybody
