Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this service. How well does it work? Are there any better alternatives out there.
www.linkmarket.net is a link exchange service both free and paid options. I saw the free option doesn't work!
I have never gotten a quality link request from them. Most of the sites I received link requests were for MFA or just crappy spammy sites.
I used them some time ago..All I have to say is HORRIBLE! I would suggest NOT using them. I wasted my money with it. the links are horrible..stuck on page's so far back on someone's site google will never find them..Just..horrible
I have used and still do use this service. But you must be very selective. Any site that is a PR 4 or above will not give you a link though. Therefore you only will get links from the PR0 to 3s. You now have a link(s). Over time though, the links go away, are broken or there is someone playing a link game. Many ask why I still do it. Simple, what are the chances of a new site with no PR or a PR0 going up after Google does a PR update. Out of ~250 there were 163. Of those, 43 links were on PR 1 or 2 pages. Was it worth it. No. But I got my kids to do the work so the cost and time was small. Suggestion, instead try http://www.catanich.com/link-popularity-enhancement.asp I think you will get better results.
I have to agree with everyone on this. I have an account at linkmarket and have gotten at most 2 quality links out of about 200. Most people using that service have a link farm setup. The biggest problem with the site is that the links page does not even have to be backlinked the the persons actual website. They can just setup a page on their server and put your link on it. This means theres really no chance of that page ever being indexed by a SE.
I just looked into some of the links aviailable on linkmarket and it appears that now ALL sites using this site have a google PR0. Even sites that were high such as Bluehost. Did Google crack down on this service?
It brings us the issue, Is services like link market considered "black hat" by Google. If link market (now a PR 3) is a viable source of links, this would be ok. But this service has now created and is pushing a "automated" services that Google will find "automated". This is why you shouldn't use their "automated" service. As for the comment of all are PR0, I think if you look closer, most of the sites are new to the SEO game. Could it be that these sites just havn't been PR updated yet?
