My finance website was on page one of Google for 4 months but only days after using LinkMarket’s automated linking service it drop to page 50 overnight. It could be just a coincidence I started using LinkMarket as Google’s algorithm changed but I decided to remove the links page from my site an do some deeper research into LinkMarket which is why I’m checking out this thread.

 

i used them few years ago, the free packages, i didnt got too much link exchange from there. i never saw a reason why i should pay to upgrade my account there because it didnt saved too much time other then emailing webmasters

with the new panda updates i would doubt the linkmarket links are worth something,
YES they're worth something but not as much as QUALITY links from QUALITY articles (not spun),

for beginners it's a great way to BLAST some weight on the backlinks,
but if you don't like the service and have other ways to do it by all means do it,

now they're a PR5 site,
and everybody can have their own opinions,

just go with the flow.....if not just blow....

IMO, Link market has no value these days, it's just like submitting your links to PR0 directories that don't even get indexed. I left them years ago after I wasn't seeing any results.

 

Think about Link Market on the other side - Google and all the other search engines might even penalize you for using LM's services (they might have all the domains in their database blacklisted) and blacklist yours as well.

(It's fairly easy for google to detect all these domains -

1. Link Market functions as a web directory.
2) because they are easy to be crawled (they're not hidden from the search engines)
