That's an issue. Agreed. Further, with reciprocals there's always the chance that an SE an easily detect them. Even with three way linking. The more links you have the easier it is for an SE to see the reciprocal pattern.

I think yfs1 is winding us up ;)

you say a couple good things but the rest is BS. As sumone said even taking away some of these BS links from the directory you still get like 1000 links.

Not a scam, but doesn't worth spending time, cuz it won't significantly help you compared to time you spend on it... Still I agree that this is just a tool, rather than automated link exchangers, which I don't believe at all in. Personally I think that Linkmarket is not worth one's time because getting 1000 incoming links in exchange for 3000 outgoing BS links from you makes it rather worse for you than help you. As I can see from my own experience getting 10-20 relevant links from PR4, PR5 and PR6 pages manually beats all those thousands of junk you get from Linkmarket (especially if you get these links from their homepages, and have at least several PR6 links), IMHO.. Still Linkmarket seems to help us, as some webmasters put our link prior to sending request, and since I ignore these requests (due to high amount of requests from spam websites, this makes Linkmarket horrible for us) and they lack time to remove my link so they leave a one-way link for us :D that's winning situation:D

I started to sign up with them, but I did a google search using their title text and I could not find any page that had it on it that had any pr. I definitely think google sees them as a bad neighbor.

I signed up for a 6 month subscription only, then got charged again for another 6 months subscription automatically without knowing and they wouldnt give any refund, even tho i no longer owned the domain anymore and only asked for 6 months in the first place. I wasnt aware at all that i would be subscribing to a re-occuring fee.
Total money grabbers and wouldnt advise anyone to use them.
Never did my business any good what so ever either.

linkmarket.net is fine if you use it judiciously. Yes, 95% of it is crappy sites, but the other 5% can get you good backlinks from genuine sites. I've gained some good PR2 and PR3 backlinks in this way. It sounds like some people can't determine between spam and genuine so they think all sites that use linkmarket.net are spam. Why do you need to get 1000 backlinks anyway? I use linkmarket.net to get about 30-50 backlinks from "honest Joe" type sites, then cancel my reg. Not bad for $25.

Downside: yes, the auto-subscription after 6 months is scandalous - they need to be clear about that, but I just cancel my accounts after about 3/4 months of use to make sure. Yes the interface is a major pain in the ass having to add to basket several sites which is very time consuming. Yes, it's unpleasant to get so much link requests from spam sites.

But I just think : take up a couple of hours of my life and $25 to get some good backlinks is worth the hassles.

No I'm not affiliated to LM in anyway, just a long time user.

Links are important but really any webmaster that would use LinkMarket.net should double check what sites they exchange links with.

I have a paid membership. LinkMarket.net is not a scam because of the websites in their Link Market but because the webmasters don't place your links..as requested.

Here's what I've got from one of their online operators:

1)Link Market Team: Ok, sorry you cannot find it.
2)Link Market Team: We recommend to sign up for the Full Membership.
3)Link Market Team: B/c there is only so much you can do with the free membership.

Sorry you cannot find it? I mean simply explain why I can't find my link there. Haha
Signing up for what? A service that does not deliver?
The free membership should allow you to exchange links what are you trying to push me to pay for something that doesn't deliver? Haha

    I'm honestly disappointed with www.LinkMarket.net

Linkmarket as of today, doesn't completely eliminate "spam" websites and I agree to yfs1 for that.

to seo-max-guru, wherever you are. You have some point. too bad, folks here don't realize that.

though the whining of you $25 lost is really subjective :(

to yfs1 (the poster who has a weird gravatar):

1.) Be professional, not all people here are born with the same hospital like you do

2.) refrain from using moron, BS something etc. (a voice is telling me you are younger than a toddler - want to bet what age is that one? lol)

3.) Number 3? there is no number 3. It's as easy as that.

I love "forum wars", what's even more interesting is that in the end. Both sides don't accept their loss and didn't say

"hey mister I got your opinion, now please hear mine?"

Is that so hard to do for people nowadays?

(well I guess this "blast-from-the-past" post speak from itself ^.^)

    just my shiny 2 cents.

I can't believe this is my 1st post in this popular forum.
