I love Linkmarket, Right now I have apporval ratio of 1-3 which is 1 out of every 3 sites I attempt to exchange with apporves me which isn't bad, so far 1,000 websites have already accepted my link request which is great and I still have more than 8,000 to go, can't complain their can you.

I can tell you that max-seo-guru has not idea about SEO but only how to make LM look bad. Let me see what you can do for 26,000 users? LOL, you do not have them b/c you do not have a website that works.

Bye the way we are removing scammers every day, same as google does and yahoo. We are not perfect but we are working hard to be as good as we can be.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the users that support us and we are going to continue to work hard to make LM the best it can be!

They fixed that problem, the reciprocal link MUST come from the same domain

Here is my problem with linkmarket as I just started using it. I am not going to pay money to find out if it works.

As it stands now all I get is non-responses from relevant requests I make and all I receive are spam from way-off-topic sites I have no interest in trading with...

Will give it some time.. But I am underwhelmed... I guess if your strategy is to link with anyone and everyone without discretion it is probably excellent.

Anyone who has used Linkmarket for a bit knows that the best responses are from new sites. Unfortunately, this is not lost on some of the 'less than great' sites, too.

Give it the time. You will build up decent links.

You'd be a total muppet to link indiscriminately without checking the target sites first. Although Linkmarket does check the sites (I don't know the criteria), you do get some crappy spammy-type sites slipping through.

why is it linkmarket's fault that low end sites contact you? Its a fact of life that spammy sites are the ones that link link exchange systems like that. Just have to take time to get goog links.

Well I have been checking all the sites so far, as I am only looking for relevant sites to link to at this point. Unfortunately nothing is even close.

I love the concept of the whole thing, I think it is potentially a great service, I just haven't been a big fan of the experience so far as it has garnered me zero links and I am eager to exchange links.

I sign up for LM a few weeks ago, and so far about 200 "strange" sites requested a link.

I quess I have to wait, but I didn't seem so helpfull to me.

    At least so far.

you have to manually check your links, simple as that, as long as you do, you ought to be ok, regardless of what systems you use

I use linkmarket, a lot, I just wish they would let me access the data directly like as a csv file, instead of going thru all their , cut and pasting

just a csv of the links, a csv of the return link pages, and I can just write something to take care of the whole thing, shit I could sell it for a couple bucks, or even give it away to help other people, I already have the code written to check links etc

I also wish they would clear out the dead beats, there has to be hundreds of deadbeat webmasters in there who say they want to swap links, and then waste peoples time

They should do a report, on all the free members who accept link trades ,then don't add links, every person who does that over a certain amount of times should be removed

if you guys are concerend with un related links, just pay the 20 bucks and you can filter them

    or use linkmanager,

if you arn't used a gambling and viagra affialtes, by now, you should get used to them

the biggest pain in the ass is you can't mass disapprove link requests. it would be much better if they could add some kind of facility, like in webmail, that you tick the box of each request you want to turn down and click "Turn Down All Checked". Right now I have 100+ links pending from eg. drugstore.com that I haven't got the time to delete one by one.
other than that it's not bad. i have found some relevant sites.

I don't know if linkmarket is still monitering this thread, but I cannot get the contact form on the site to work, I tried to create a new account and the form got stuck, now it says my site is in the db, when i try to use the contact form it just says my support ticket has not been sent.....

Having that problem myself. Looks like they've got a bunch of technical issues today (it doesn't seem to be able to verify when I've added a link right now, and the e-mail notifier thing is broken). I couldn't get a tech support ticket in either. No complaints about the product in general though, I've liked it a lot so far.

I agree I like linkmarket they desperately need a bulk approve/disprove/send request facility however.

Based on the latest google patent application, buying high PR links and doing the link exchange thing won't help your PR at all. It will help with traffic however. For increasing PR, one should spend their time writing articles, posting on message boards, directory submissions, doing the blog or RSS thing, and getting editorials/links on high relevant PR sites or blogs if possible. I think the only benefit of the link exchange programs is to get traffic. If you put out 100 link requests a day and keep that up for a few months, you'll get a lot of customers and traffic. How many of those link partners turn out to be bad neighborhoods in 6 months?

I personally am not a believer in link exchanges unless they're a manaja twa thingamajigger or you're just looking to increase non qualified traffic. (lots of webmasters checking out you link pages, not to shop) All IMO of course. Mike
