Linkmarket can kiss my...

I am really tired of using linkmarket. I dont know why I used it in the first place. Around 3/4ths of the people that exchange links there are using nofollow or putting your links on pages that arent spiderable.

Now I have to spend my time going through 1000+ links and checking them all out because these idiots that use this site move my link to a useless page.

Maybe I should just wipe out all the links from there but I would feel bad for the legit recip links that I know I have. Or maybe just visit each page and if it doesnt have a PR then I will drop them! Ya, pagerank is good for something, saves me time. :)

Ok rant is over. Dont use linkmarket.

I have still never managed to find a suitable link exchange for my test site on there... But I have not checked a while.

For me though, it was a horribly inefficient way to acquire links, and if you add on the stuff you talk about I imagine completely worthless for me.

Much as I am a fan of Linkmarket, the spam is driving me nuts. I am only approving maybe 1 in 10 of the link requests I receive these days because of the <no follow's> and all the other dumb 'tricks' being used to hide links from the SE's.

I was so pissed off, I wrote an article about it. I really must put it online.

I signed with linkmarket about a year ago, if I recall correctly.

I didn't use it more than a few times. I used linkalizer a lot tho.

Last week linkmarket put a $18.85 charge on my paypal account that
    I did not authorize.

I was furious and I still have not gotten it back and don't know how
    they did that.

The charge is to renew your account annually. Technically you did authorize it when you signed up since part of it is auto renewell.

I get tired of it because I get 20 trade requests from irrelevant sites for every relevant request.

I've only ever done 1 link trade, and have had 100 requests. My mailbox gets like 5 a day. It's ghey.

I can add a site with no pr, and run it thru the entire site and come back with like 1200 link trades

site with pr can get like close 2000

    thats pretty good for 20.00

I thought the same but I would look at those links pretty close. Most the people there put them on a page that you cant get to from the index.html or use nofollows so the link is useless.

I've used linkmarket for a long time and have to say that the problem seems to be a relatively recent development, if an unwanted one. I've taken to examining every site, a complete PITA.

if you register for the upgraded membership, you can adjust your settings to only receive link requests from certain types of sites...

Yes I have done that but that filter doesnt take in account if the page they are placing my link on is indexable or the previous page uses nofollow and thats the problem i have with them.
