    or

2/ leave them be doing no harm

Greyed out bar doesn't mean a penalty, its in place when a site is new isn't it?

"site:domain.com" the websites greyed out and see if they are still in the Google index.

Greyed out bar normally means that PR hasn't been assigned to that particular page yet.

If you put your mouse pointer over the greyed-out bar, it says
    "No page rank information available".

This doesn't necessarily mean that the page doesn't have any page rank. It only means that the information isn't being publicly displayed.

    Hi Paul,

You should take a lok at those sites before determining your next course of action. If they are link farms or any sites that violate the Google Bible, then you should remove them if you know.

Greyed out bar may also mean that the page is supplemental.

also: It could be a really good page at some point in the future even if it is grayed out now. Links are sort of an investment, some return well and others go bust.

A lot of those grayed out link pages are never going to get out of the supplemental index
