I have a linking question, which is.... If I want to link my Website to my blog in the best all around way..... How should I do this and maybe even more important.. How should I NOT do it? Should I - 1) add the "link" to the template so it shows on all pages in my website (thus creating 10-100 or so links to the blog - 1 for each page of the site) or 2) just add a "single link" from one page only, like the index page (or should I use a different page for some reason other than where I want the link?) or 3) something else? As well, what should I do in regards to a reciprical link from my blog to my site? I would like to have the blog link on each page of my site in the menu however, I'm wondering if this would cause problems with SE's and linking rules etc... Any help would be appreciated. PS - if anyone can provide a "proper link map" type site that shows diagrams on how to properly link up your sites with all the fixings like ezine articles, squidoo, youtube, myspace, blog, twitter and all the other goodies that would be great. Again, Im weiry of making a mistake and being kicked by google in some way. cheers
There is no right or wrong way. Typically web sites have their blog link either in their global navigation or in the header and/or footer of all pages on the site. Personally I think a site's blog should be important enough to deserve a site wide link in the global navigation or header somewhere. And there is nothing bad that will happen by doing so. If their were then every site on the web would be in trouble because every site out there typically has some type of global navigation pointing to their most important pages.
